There are projects that exist but aren't seen. That have something real inside: an intention, an offering, a need to reach, but they haven't yet found their visual form. That's where I come in.
My name is Carolina Niño and I've spent over 15 years working at the place where art and design meet. Albums, campaigns, flyers, identities, original pieces, creative processes. My work is digital but handcrafted. It takes time, requires presence, and is never automatic.
What I do isn't decoration. It's listening to a project until I understand what it needs to be, and from there building a visual world that makes it truly visible. I work with campaigns that have a real idea behind them, with brands that want to say something, with record labels, festivals, artists, and facilitators. What they have in common isn't their size. It's that they have something to say to the world, and they want to say it with beauty, coherence, and depth.
I've been part of projects like Extraordinary Awaits for Tequila Herradura, Adidas Woman, and Vosges Haut-Chocolat's visual tribute to The Smashing Pumpkins, and I was involved from the start in building the brand for FinalStraw (final.co). I've also worked with record labels, international festivals, independent artists, facilitators, and cultural projects across multiple countries.
I'm not interested in work where the client pays and I execute without more. I'm interested in the shared process. The conversation that reveals what hadn't been named yet. The image that synthesizes something words couldn't say alone.
I've lived in different places around the world, and that has shaped my perspective. I have wide references, but I always look for what's unique in each project.
I also facilitate creative processes: spaces where creativity isn't a talent you either have or don't, but a practice you cultivate. Because I believe that creating is a way of being present in the world.
I give presence, beauty, and coherence to projects that need to come to light, because the world needs them.
How I work
PORTALSE
The Piece
For artists, musicians, facilitators, and brands that need a visual piece that speaks before the project is even presented. Flyers, posters, covers. Original, handcrafted, one of a kind.
The Root
For launches, campaigns, and visual eras that need total coherence. Whether it's an album, a festival, a collection, a cultural project, or a brand. What matters is that it has something to say and needs a visual world to hold it. We enter the soul of the project together and build from there. Palette, atmosphere, system, pieces. Nothing generic. Nothing automatic.
The Companion
Para proyectos que no son un evento sino un proceso. Músicos con temporadas activas, marcas con vida propia, facilitadores con programas continuos. Estoy adentro del proyecto de forma sostenida, no por encargo suelto.
Creative Presence
Individual or group sessions to install creativity as a real practice. Online or in-person in El Bolsón, Río Negro.
